Originally from Catalonia, Spain, and a working class hero back home, Rudie Bam Bam is a lover of rough Jamaican sounds and Northern Soul and has a compulsive addiction to collecting rare vinyl from the 60s and 70s.
Noted for his devotion to music and fashion, Rudie is also a fan of Spaghetti Westerns and a bit obsessed about old school music, art and filming. Thousands of litres of beers, very loud music and good friends is the perfect weekend.
Established in Wellington since 2013, he is the man behind the High Explosion Reggae series, bringing you the best in Jamaican Oldies and British Boss reggae. With the first High Explosion Reggae Festival set for Saturday 4 November at The Grand.
