Once again the music of the street and riddims ‘fresh from yard’ take over as Newtown Sound and Havana present the return of Ghetto Red Hot, a night of blazing hot reggae, dancehall and hip-hop music.

Following up on the popular Ghetto Red Hot #1 earlier this year, the party returns with another blazing line-up, this time at one of Wellington’s favourite venues, Havana Bar.

Join DJs Rhys B (Wellington’s own DJ godfather don), DJ Kerb (Wanderers/Weds Night Jam), and Art Official (Yardwise sound killa) at a very special night celebrating a time when Jamaican dancehall music reunited with its American descendant, hip-hop.

A musical combination-special of heavy 80s, 90s and current dancehall reggae alongside the old school and new school of Jamaican influenced hip-hop from the US, Canada, Europe and NZ.

Limited capacity so get in early to avoid missing out.

Tune in to the Wednesday Night Jam for the Ghetto Red Hot special on Radio Active 89FM, Wednesday 16 November, 9 to 11pm, for info and giveaways.
