Reality Chant Productions proudly present Give Thanks, the debut single release by Deadly Hunta on the Reality Chant label. Produced by Messenjah and Soul Providah, the single is from the forthcoming Fire I Blaze riddim selection set for release in early 2011.
Deadly Hunta began his musical journey chatting on local UK sound-systems. Becoming renowned for his musical diversity – being equally at ease and skilled in hip-hop, reggae and dancehall and also working in various other genres – he has been hailed as a dynamic and innovative artist, bringing positive and conscious lyrics and also for the onslaught of pure energy that he brings to his live shows.
Hunta has smashed the underground club and radio circuit and has recieved rave reviews across UK and Europe. After performing on the Homegrown tour and at festivals such as Glastonbury and WOMAD, he has gone on to tour across France, Denmark, Bulgaria, Spain and New Zealand and has released his debut-mix, Diamonds in the Dirt, Vol. 1, mixed by DJ Skitz. Look out for Deadly Hunta’s debut album Speak My Mind dropping in 2011.
Reality Chant Productions is a New Zealand based record label that had its beginnings with the popular sound-system, Dubwize. Spearheaded by Gabriel ‘Messenjah’ Calcott, Dubwize released Dubwize Meets Confucious: To the Control Tower, Reality Chant and Snypa Levi: The Sojourner which featured collaborations with Jah Mason (JA), Tuff Enchant (Zimbabwe) and Raggadon (Montserrat).
From here the Country Living 7″ vinyl riddim release was born in 2009 and featured versions from internationally renowned Jamaican vocalists, Luciano, Mikey General, Jah Mason, Chrisinti and Ginjah.
Reality Chant’s latest release was the Kings Highway multi-riddim album released in June 2010, which was recorded across the USA, UK, Jamaica and New Zealand and which features the scorching Nah Bow Down riddim and artists such as Lutan Fyah, Zareb, Natty King and Luciano.
