Cubiculo 7″ (2015)
Cubiculo Records returns to its digital roots with a fresh 7″. Featuring South London’s Jah Screechy, back on the case once again, alongside Cubiculo’s own Dub Unit, pairing up with fellow Iberian producer KnD.
Screechy conjures up another entertaining and deadly lyrical performance, simultaneously updating us on his endless digital observations, before wandering off into entertaining seamless chat. Further proving why he seems to be in demand both in the studio and onstage right now.
Dub Unit, the sound created by Cubiculo bossman Duarte Lucena and now into its 9th vinyl release, has jumped all over the place since its incarnation just a few years ago. From Rocksteady, Rub-a-Dub, Digital, 8-bit and UK Steppas, its a label which carefully crafts its releases and continually surprises us with each one.
‘Digitally Mad’ is only available on 7” vinyl with no repress and no digital! It has a hand-stamped, embossed white sleeve.
Cubiculo has also released a handful of free digital EP’s and tracks online via their website as well as creating an addictive 8Bit video game. Well worth checking out and keeping your eye on.
