JP Money

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, JP Money is a versatile MC, promoter and producer.

In 1999 he and his business partners decided to try and develop and change the party scene in Jamaica by forming the Jamstar Entertainment Group which encompasses film, music production and concert promotion. Their aim was to give party-goers an experience rather than just a party. Through this they developed a brand called Stainless which grew not only into a concert but also a mix-CD produced by DJ Karim, a long-time friend and Jamstar franchise artist.

In 2000 JP Money featured on a remix track with Bounty Killer for a DJ Karim mix-tape and has since gone on to feature on remixes with Beenie Man, Busy Signal and New Zealander, Tevita Mafia, on a Track called AK40 Pencils.

He has also produced tracks for the Likes of Holly Smith, Modupeh (Ghana) and Ghetto Preacher (Sweden). He says, “…it’s funny how music, something I thought would be a bit of fun, would let me see the world”.
