Mungo’s Hi Fi reach Christchurch for a heavyweight session beneath the Sydenham Underpass – an iconic space reimagined by sound, people, and purpose.
Mungo’s need little introduction. Hailing from Glasgow and flying the flag for global sound system culture, their productions and performances blend roots reggae, dub, dancehall, and steppers with a distinctly modern, bass-heavy approach. Known for their crisp selection, infectious energy and deep cultural respect, Mungo’s have rocked dances worldwide.
Expect full-immersion, roots to future dub, rinsed through a hand-built sound system with clarity, warmth and raw power. As always, we’re putting the sound first, staying true to the traditions that inspired the movement while building a space that’s welcoming, diverse and community-focused.
