When: Saturday 6 December
Where: Sherpa Kai – 10 Oxford Street, Lyttelton
9pm to 1am, $20 from Cosmic Ticketing or cash on the door.
All profits will go towards a nominated charity as part of ‘Aotearoa Sounds for Jamaica’. A collective of New Zealand sound systems giving back to Jamaica, a country who has given so much, recovering from Hurricane Melissa.
The triumphant return of Pressure Sessions brings heavyweight reggae, dub, steppers and beyond.
On duty are three talented Dj and producers, Ayaluna, Sano and Oliver Prince. Supported by the Chief Remedy crew.
Chief Remedy have relentlessly championed reggae, dub and dancehall music in Otautahi for ten plus years, with Pressure Sessions being arguably the longest running series of reggae sound system dances in Christchurch’s history. It is only natural that following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica, the crew gives back to the nation who has provided the culture and foundation that is celebrated every time during dances.
