Release by New Zealand-based, Ghanaian vocalist, Ras Stone, and UK, Melbourne-based producer, Boston Rodriguez.

In 2013, while living in Cable Bay on the far North coast of New Zealand, Boston received contact from Ras Stone, asking if he could lick some lyrics down on one of his recent tunes. The tune was an instrumental edit of Barrington Levy’s ‘Murderer’, a unique version in which Boston had painstakingly and meticulously spliced the vocal version into 1 million pieces and re-created it.

The immediate reaction was: “Game ON!”

The message of ‘Forever Be A Rebel’ is to love life, live it fully, and don’t take yourself to seriously. Especially in a world where social media seems to play a huge part in preventing many people from being themselves, being true to themselves, and generally being free.
