Silva

Silva, AKA Tanya Dyer, hails from central Auckland where she grew up on the streets of Mt Roskill and Grey Lynn and spent much of her childhood years with the Twelve Tribes of Israel New Zealand. Her unique lyrical style is inspired by her father’s Jamaican roots and her love for hip-hop beats and soul-sounding grooves.

She has rocked stages with some of Aotearoa’s finest talent including members of The Krates (Che Fu), Batucada Sound Machine, Dam Native, Ladi6 and Parks, Cornerstone Roots and The Midnights, just to name a few. Silva records on the regular at the West Auckland studio, The Bakery.

This up and coming artist is all about conscious music with a positive message with her soulful voice, conscious rap and energetic performance keeping crowds captivated and screaming for more! She is one of New Zealand’s most gifted female mc’s and continues to master and perfect her skills with every live performance.
