Skitz is a producer and DJ who has helped to revolutionise the sound of UK hip-hop and spread it world-wide.
After discovering a love for hip-hop in the mid-80s, in 1996 Skitz released his debut 12″, ‘Skitz alongside Roots Manuva’. He went on to release the classic and critically acclaimed album, ‘Countryman’, and work with artists such as Roni Size, Sain Supa Crew, Million Dan, DJ Die, Kardinal Offishal and Deadly Hunta and in 2003 he launched his own label, ‘Titan Sounds’.
Skitz has also compiled the infamous ‘Bad Meaning Good’ and ‘Homegrown’ compilations and has toured and played extensively across the world while also co-hosting the flagship BBC 1Xtra hip-hop show, ‘Original Fever’, with Rodney P.
Don’t miss the chance to check him with Rodney P this August in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington at the Ghetto Red Hot series, bringing blazing hip-hop, dancehall and reggae vibes to the NZ massive.
