Wake the Town is back in session for 2013. This time with special guests Sgt Benji and DJ Locksteady, direct from Auckland City!
Originally from Wellington, Sgt Benji has a long history with reggae in Aotearoa, which includes playing percussion for classic New Zealand reggae band, Sticks and Shanty and becoming a member of the Twelve Tribes Sound. Locksteady is one of the country’s hottest young talents, already being an accomplished selector and producer and playing regularly throughout Auckland.
This father and son combo represent on Base FM with their Riddim Culture radio show, every Thursday 12pm to 2pm.
This night also features heavyweight NiceUp selectors – Art Official and Steve the Hat.
