From humble beginnings in Palmerston North, hosting a specialist house and techno radio show at age 16, to collecting records, moving to Melbourne in 2001, forming a crew, and running gigs, Fee says, ‘music has always been an integral part of who I am. My passion extends to different genres of music. House was my first love and reggae is who I am married to now!’
Moving ever forward, Fee has re-joined forces with selector Bellyas, after a short hiatus of living in separate cities. The pair originally formed in 2004 as ‘Housewife’s Choice Sound’. Since then they have been running dances red hot and dropping dubs like dirt!
The inspiration for this mix comes after a recent visit back to her homeland, Aotearoa, NZ, where Fee played a roots set in Wellington. She has invited some of Australia’s finest reggae vocal talents to bless this exclusive mixtape for NiceUp – special request!
