It’s a NICEUP REGGAE XMAS! at Tupelo Sat.9.Dec so come celebrate the holiday season and a big year of reggae in the capital at the NiceUp Xmas Party.
Featuring special guests, direct from volcano city Auckland, THE JUGGLIN CREW: GWAAN GIRL and FINN + local selectors MANRAY, ART OFFICIAL and ANTOINE, + none other than the top ranking voice of Aotearoa reggae music – THE MIGHTY ASTERIX, blessing the mic as only he can.
The Jugglin Crew – Gwaan Girl & Finn – are major players in the Auckland scene, running the regular Buss It Up nights (Auckland’s premier dancehall monthly gig), as well as selling, writing about, and promoting all things reggae and dancehall in N.Z. Touching down for what will be their first night in the capital, they’ll be digging deep into their crates for the choicest reggae cuts and the freshest in dancehall and bashment.
Joining them are local heavyweights, DJ Manray, from the esteemed Vital Sounds and Spice Traders Crews a certified top-notch roots and reggae don. NiceUp’s very own Art Official, also from the Yardwise Crew – continually running tings well and truly proper, always laying down the best in reggae, hip-hop and dancehall to blaze up dance floors. And also featuring the A1 champion selector, Antoine, bringing hot reggae and dancehall from the world over.
And Wellington’s own rootical master, The Mighty Asterix, an MC who needs no introduction, will be controlling the mic. You know you don’t wanna miss this one!
