7″ and digital formats

Consummate South London selector and presenter Keith Lawrence presents his latest 7″ release on his Muzik-Ed label.

Keith has over 30 years in the music business, working as a club DJ, radio presenter, producer, label owner and sound selector. Playing hip hop, reggae, roots, dancehall, soul, funk, disco, boogie and more, if it brings the vibes Keith plays it.

Pre-lock down Keith could be found steaming up the South London Soul Train, niceing up the party at Tru Skool Beats, providing the soundtrack  and putting the soul in Soul Skate Thursdays and various Mi Soul parties, guesting as a selector at Tighten Up, engaging in a bit of friendly fire dropping wicked revival down at Vinyl Meltdown, or taking the vibes far and wide as part of Dub Organiser Hi Fi monthly sessions.

On top of all this he presents one of my personal favourite weekly radio shows The Reggae Rock, that encompasses the whole range of reggae music, fresh dancehall, bashment, lovers, contemporary roots, and a wee dose of foundation to round it off.

With lockdown limiting playing out live, Keith has switched some of his attention towards some production work. His Muzik-Ed label has been putting out quality music since the early 2000’s in a range of styles. As Keith has previously said ‘my sound encompasses the history, creativity, integrity and positivity of black music before it donned its shiny suit!’

His knowledge and skill with a range of styles is evident as he relick’s Errol Carter AKA Flabba Holt’s Rupie Edwards-produced ‘Mannish Water’. Freshening it up with a wicked reggae hip hop vibe and a b-line that drops like a hammer. Veteran UK toaster Tippa Irie is on the case and takes care of vocal duties.

Available in  digital formats, and both a standard or a limited edition marble green 7″ vinyl both with version on the flip.
